I went to visit my dear friend, Yahav Ron at his Paris 99 fashion salon in Elwood last weekend. Paris 99 is a pretty cutting edge concept where Yahav’s eye for high-end fashion meets the demands of fashionista bargain-hunters, all the while creating a world for sustainable fashion and sharing the love for pre-loved pieces! Paris 99 is a giant 2 room wardobe of big-time labels like Balenciaga, Lanvin, Dries Van Noten and ALAIA, to smaller and edgier names like Ann Demeulemeester, Proenza Schouler, A.F Vandevorst and Narciso Rodriguez. Phew! Like that wasn’t a mouthful!
Anyway, Yahav is one of my old pals from high school art class, and we basically get together every now and then to play dress-ups. It’s like the best kind of dress-ups where you can buy and take things home at 80-90% off the original retail – HELLO! Have a gander at some of my finds below – Paris 99 Haul!
Not enough time to try everything!
Getting flashy!
One-of-a-kind Yahav Ron coat!
The coat from afar.
I thought this was very Lady Gaga, and it works!
Yahav is a fashion hero saving the world one pre-loved fashion piece at a time.
Love these Morgenthal Fredericks sunnies. Feel as cool as John Lennon.
Florida-esque print but in trench form!
This was by a Taiwanese Designer, her name escapes me now, but it was a really cool piece.
Yahav showing me his awesome collection of fashion books and catalogues.
This is a really cool digital print. Amazing colours.
My personal hem holder, Yahav.
Oscar de la Renta Coat. Pink candy stripes. I really liked it, and walked out of the salon and wore it home!
Somebody paid a lot of money for this outfit (not me).
These are my reading glasses with no lenses…
This outfit was just insane. Who wouldn’t have a good time in this?
Kenzo puffer jacket. It was super comfy and stylish, but I decided our winters weren’t cool enough for it.
Getting cozy in my Kenzo.
Yahav’s other creation – delicious brunch. YUM!
What an incredible collection. All of the fashions are amazing. Of course I like the Florida Trench; is it Lilly Pulitzer? And the pink striped Oscar de laRenta is great. Is the digital print one piece? (My guess.) It looks like two – with a long friged top over a blue skirt… but I think that’s the whole point. To fool my eyes. Can’t wait to see it all
at the Carlton North Fashion Show in a few days!
