Melbourne Bridal Expo

Hi Lovelies!

Yes! I am alive! I’m sorry for the long recess of no blog posts (5weeks!!!!). There have been no fewer fun things to blog about, but I guess I lost a bit of motivation being preoccupied with other things. Nonetheless, I have been busy and excited, helping my girlfriend Leanne plan her wedding, for she has asked me to be her Maid of Honour! I’m so honored, as we’ve known each other since we were 13 and that’s almost 15 years ago now. Eek! Coincidentally, my boyfriend’s sister, Jessica also asked me to be her bridesmaid for her wedding next March. This will be the 4th time I’ve been asked to be a bridesmaid, and I can confidently say it won’t be the last! Anyway, Leanne and I went to the Melbourne Bride Wedding Expo last Sunday at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre across from Crown Casino, and OMG, are there a million and one things you can spend money on for weddings. There were limousine companies (even yellow NYC taxi cab cars for hire), Vintage Gelato Carts, Dessert Tables, Photo booths, and Wedding Dresses galour! We had the best seats in the house for their wedding dress runway show, and wow, I was just blown away. There’s something so beautiful about seeing a woman wearing a white gown. I’ve included some images of wedding gowns we saw on the day. Makes me get all excited and emotional. My boyfriend JJ has noticed my jittery energy bursts every time I talk about weddings and he just laughs it off. Anyway, below are some happy snaps from some of the photo booths that we had our photos taken in.

I'm on the very left with pouty red lips and little hat. Leanne is of course the bride in white!

These 2 designers, Mariana Hardwick (very left) and Wendy Makin (3 on right) were our favourite designers from the runway show.

Lastly, I’ve added one of Gotye’s songs from the recent Great Gatsby film. Of course this Great Gatsby theme is being felt across wedding industries worldwide! Beautiful!
